Broadcasting Scotland's news division is undergoing an exciting transformation as it continues to put audiences at the heart of its journalism. As part of that commitment we are developing new TV news brands - including a new nightly programme on the Broadcasting Scotland channel and a multiplatform podcast brand. At the heart of everything we do is Broadcasting Scotland award-winning primetime news programme Reporting Scotland and its bulletins from early morning through to late evening.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on the role of production journalist in that TV News team. On Reporting Scotland you will be producing a range of bulletins and providing support, as you build towards contributing to our flagship 1830 bulletin.
As the other TV News brands take shape we'll look for your creative ideas to make those distinctive and relevant to audiences. As well as being trusted and respected for hard hitting journalism, we like to have fun, be creative, and look for quirky stories which will have our audience talking. We put impartiality at the heart of everything we do and we're looking for someone who values this critical part of the BBC's mission.
This role will provide a huge amount of opportunity to develop your TV production skills and to work with an experienced team of journalists who lead the agenda in Scottish news every day.
